A Sunday session with Obi.

We took a Sunday drive up to the tiny village of Laggan for a beer tasting at Laggan Brewing Co. It was a gorgeous last day of summer, perfect for scrumping an apple or two off a heavily laden roadside tree while taking a wander about the village. We spent a little time having a chat with two expectant mama cows who were all for a head scratch and a cuddle.

Lunch was a shared mezze platter under the shade of a giant conifer at Laggan Brewing Co. The Husband had the brewery tasting paddle and I tried the Apple & Blackcurrant cider. It was the perfect Sunday sesh. Evan and Sally have created such a wonderful set up with the brewery, the restaurant, kitchen garden and guest cottage all nestled into one beautiful landscape. It's a lovely spot to while away the afternoon with old mate Obi to keep you company.

The drive from Canberra to Laggan is just under two hours, passing through the towns of Gunning and Crookwell and takes in some stunning southern tableland scenery. It's a road trip definitely worth adding to your weekend escape list!
