Photographing a cheese making workshop comes with some seriously great benefits...you get to head home armed with containers of handmade fromage! My clients from Barbour House in Gunning recently transformed the sunroom of their art deco BnB into a beautiful kitchen where they now run weekend cheese making classes. I had the delight of capturing the pilot workshop which was a full day of learning, feasting and socialising with hosts Lissy & Chris. The workshops are tailored for small groups of 2-6 people with a choice of half or full day classes. It's a fabulous blend of country hospitality and cheesy science.

The morning class is Fabulous Feta...warming the milk, nudging the curds and pouring them into their moulds. A glorious home baked morning tea is served on the verandah while the feta sets. The afternoon class is Heavenly Halloumi...there is wine...there is charcuterie and there is joyful conversation while learning how to make squeaky cheese. Highly recommend not having breakfast to accommodate the indulgent feasting throughout the day.

Lissy & Chris are the epitome of passionate, fun loving hosts who love to share their skill of making something special from scratch with other cheese lovers. It's always a joy to capture their hard work in action. You can book a weekend class at Barbour House here.

Til next time...pip pip xx Em
