GUNDANGURRA COUNTRY - crookwell nsw

It's been a little while between road trips. I've been preoccupied with study and assignment photo shoots and just everyday kid wrangling. I've also subconsciously been retreating from the world for a bit...nothing too drastic, just needing to disconnect from the cacophony of noise that has inundated the space between my ears lately. Today was allocated as a day for some time out...time out of the house and out of my head. I took a drive up to the town of Crookwell in the Upper Lachlan Shire to meet up with some friends for a long overdue coffee which was so lovely. We sat in the cafe next to the fireplace and discussed life, the universe and everything. Afterwards I went for a walk around town with my camera. I didn't get to explore as much as I'd hoped...just part of the Main Street...before news of Canberra going into lockdown broke and I had to cut things short and head home. I'm really grateful that I took that time out today....not sure when the next chance to go exploring will eventuate. I love the eclectic mix of architecture in Crookwell, I love the surrounding farmland, I love how innovative women like Elise from Mister Munro and Billie from Ensemble & Co are breathing new life into this historic town. I love this region, it feels familiar and comforting.

Til next time...pip pip xx Em
