The more I do this job the more I love it!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Eudora Farm, a beautiful working property out at Fullerton in the Upper Lachlan Region about two hours north west of Canberra. Owners Sally & Tony Digger recently listed Eudora on Airbnb and needed a portfolio of professional images to create content for social media and print. It was such a delightful shoot collaborating with friend and stylist Lizzy Easton.

The homestead is nestled in an expansive established garden with a further 200 acres of undulating land to explore. There are farmyard animals to cuddle, fresh eggs, fruit and veggies to gather for meals in the country kitchen and a large courtyard to relax and enjoy some local Laggan wine with a cheese platter while the kids entertain themselves under the crabapple trees.

So many highlights but the most notable were the puppies (obviously...I mean, who doesn't love cuddling three week old kelpie pups who fall asleep in your hands; driving through the paddocks up to the top of the hill where we took in the 360 degree views at sunrise and sunset; tea & scones on the verandah of the timber hut as the sun glowed gold through the eucalypts, wandering through the garden foraging for flowers and picking ripe quinces from the tree and; enjoying some down time with fresh pastries and coffee in the sitting room that looks out over the vine covered patio.

The property is a short drive to the tiny village of Laggan where you'll find the wonderful Laggan Pantry which specialises in beautiful seasonal cooking and artisan beer (check out my previous post) or for a traditional pub meal there's the Laggan Pub. If you're staying at the farm for a while it's well worth the scenic drive up to the historic village of Taralga. There you can try the Taralga Hotel, Argyle Inn or Grand Ettie for more fabulous foodie experiences and enjoy a stroll down the Main Street lined with towering poplars & historic architecture.

I'll be bringing my family and some friends back to Eudora when the weather turns cooler so that we can sit by the fireplace and play board games in the evening or toast marshmallows over the fire pit in the garden. I'm very much looking forward to visiting again. Sally and Tony are such welcoming hosts and they've created a truly special experience at Eudora Farm. Big thanks to Lizzy for her brilliant styling, her ability to traverse through the paddocks in her ute with a kelpie riding shotgun on her lap and her excellent, excellent company. It was such good fun!
