GUNDUNGARRA, WIRADJURi COUNTRY - gingkin NSW
Yesterday was a pretty special day.
I travelled up the range to Home Farm in Gingkin for a morning tea with author Maggie Mackellar. It was a privilege and a pleasure. A privilege to listen to Maggie read from her latest book, Graft. To see her words impacting the group sitting before her. A pleasure to capture it, to catch up with familiar faces & meet some new ones. Amanda & Gerard welcomed us into their beautiful home with a delectable morning tea in front of a roaring fire. Outside the cabin walls it was misty and grey with the kind of icy wind that has a tendency to snatch your breath away. Within the cabin walls it was cosy and calm, with a hum of conversation that wraps around you like a blanket. Congratulations Maggie on another soul quenching book. I can't tell you how much I enjoy getting lost in your language. Huge thanks to Amanda & Gerard for hosting such a great event. I loved being part of it.
Here are some pics of the day.
Enjoy...pip pip xx Em
