What is beauty?

In early November I had the joy of an afternoon spent in the company of Lee Towle at her farm, shooting content for Longview Garlic's christmas gift certificate campaign. We sat at her kitchen table, pondering beauty and what it meant to her. For Lee, who is a busy farmer running a thriving small business, beauty is found in simplicity and slowing down. It's found in natural fibres, foraged foliage, skilled craftsmanship, good books and connection to homegrown and handmade. We transformed those thoughts into images over the course the afternoon, capturing the forms of beauty that are valued in Lee's life. It was one of my favourite photoshoots to date and I genuinely love the images we created. Being in Lee's company is inspiring...that's just the kind of woman that she is. A deep thinker and an active doer, generous, open, honest and...beautiful.
