Gundungurra Country - Taralga nsw.
My son and I took an impromptu road trip up through Goulburn to Taralga yesterday. We sat on the back deck of @grandettie with hot chocolates, listening to the frog chorus while the sun warmed our faces. We strolled along the Main Street to stretch our legs, poking our noses into the @inncommercialstores and @bookshop_taralga and peered over fences to admire old gardens and the rough stone walls of early 19th century buildings. A new art gallery was having its opening day celebrations which I was thrilled to see. We had taken a look at that very property when if first came on the market and had played with the idea of buying it, living in the house and turning the attached store front into a photography studio. I'm so happy that it's been beautifully restored and now houses works of art. That is exactly what a lovely old building such as that one deserves. I love the quiet of this town. I love the light that beams through the towering poplars and the tiny streams of water that babble alongside the main road. The drive home was full of conversation and views of wobbly new lambs and cattle all floofed up in their winter coats. Happy days. Enjoy the captures of our afternoon.
Til next time...pip pip xx Em.
