gundungurra country - Taralga NSW

History meets hospitality.

Last weekend I loaded my car with blooms and camera gear, donned my blundstones and hit the road for my first location shoot since lockdown. Excited much?...hell yes!

The shoot was done across two locations in Taralga...family portraits of the Connors on their farm and an interiors shoot at historic Woolbrook Cottage in town, which has just been listed on Airbnb. The weather gods were gracious and gave us a glorious, sun-soaked day after weeks of wind and rain. It was so lovely to meet Rosey, Andrew and Angus and be able to capture them on the land that has been farmed by their family for over a hundred years. And the views...my gosh, the views were spectacular.

Rosey has breathed new life into the cottage, furnishing it with an array of vintage treasures, memorabilia and beautiful linen. The cottage dates back to the 1890s and is utterly charming. We styled it out with foraged blooms & foliage and a delectable selection of pastries, sourdough and charcuterie from The Argyle Inn. It was a wonderfully productive day and I'm really happy with the catalogue of images that were captured.

If you're looking for family and dog friendly accommodation for your next country escape you can book the cottage through Airbnb or follow Woolbrook's shiny new Instagram account. Taralga is a fabulous place to visit and a bit of a foodie destination with The Argyle Inn, Grand Ettie and the Taralga Hotel just a short stroll from the cottage. There are beautiful scenic drives to take and plenty of ways to unwind and enjoy some downtime.

Thank you for trusting me with this collaboration Rosey. It was an absolute delight and I wish you every success hosting Woolbrook Cottage!

Til next time...pip pip xx Em.
